India’s domestic natural gas production declined 2 per cent to 2,636 million standard cubic meter (MMSCM) in June 2019, according to oil ministry’s fresh data. The country had produced 2,678 MMSCM of natural gas in the corresponding month a year ago.
Cumulatively, the country’s domestic natural gas production in the first three months (April-June) of the current financial year 2019-20 was almost flat at 8,031 MMSCM, as compared to 8,069 MMSCM produced in the corresponding period a year ago.
