Conducted their 07th women in Maritime Law enforcement forum at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Deputy Commandant Nidhi Gupta from the Indian Coast Guard represented India at the forum and was also one of the speaker at the forum. She spoke about role of women in maritime law enforcement agency like Indian coast guard.
Discussions were held to identify challenges faced by the women working in the maritime domain. Representatives from Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan , USA , Thailand, Vietnam , Bangladesh , Srilanka etc. took part in the forum.
Change in policies to enhance gender equality and enhance women empowerment were also discussed in the forum.
