The state government hopes to attract investment worth Rs 85,000 crore during Himachal Pradesh Global Investors’ Meet, proposed to be held at Dharamsala in June 2019. According to the official press note issued today, the government has approved an action plan for the meeting. As many as six national roadshows in prominent business centres, three international roadshows and five mini conclaves within the state would be organised before the event. Besides this, an ambassadors’ roundtable would also be organised in New Delhi.
All investment proposals would be included in broad sectors, including agri-business, horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries, food Processing and pharma, tourism and hospitality, eco-tourism, power, ayurveda, healthcare and Aayush, infrastructure, logistics and transport, information technology, electronics, skill development and education and urban development, including housing and real estate sector.
