The Uttarakhand government on Monday gave a go-ahead to nine private companies to start helicopter shuttle services for Kedarnath from three locations of Guptkashi, Fata and Sirsi. Uttarakahnd Civil Aviaition Development Authority (UCADA) has set up rates which are lower than last year. In 2017, the air fare for service between Guptkashi and Kedarnath was fixed at Rs 7,500 per person. Now air fare is Rs 7,300. In 2017 the fare from Fata was fixed at Rs 7,000 which now is Rs 6,700. From Sirsi, the fare earlier was Rs 6,500. Now it has been fixed at Rs 6,300 per person. Uttarakhand Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Civil Aviation, Om Prakash said that around 70 per cent of the bookings would be made online and boarding passes would be issued only after the passengers submit their Aadhar cards.
