In the Gyanvapi mosque complex The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition of the Muslim side, giving a big blow to the Muslim side regarding the ASI survey. The Supreme Court has said that the ASI survey work in the Gyanvapi campus will continue. Meanwhile, following the Allahabad High Court verdict, an ASI team started surveying the Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi on Friday morning amid tight security. At this time in the Supreme Court, there was a strong debate between the two parties and the lawyers presented arguments on behalf of their respective sides. During the hearing, CJI DY Chandrachud said that an ASI survey was also done in the Ayodhya case and we will keep all the options of evidence open.

Where did the digging come from??

“We will take care that there is no damage to the structure. The Solicitor General said the ASI has filed an affidavit in the high court assuring that there will be no damage to the structure. SG said, “We will abide by that. If excavation is ever required in the future, permission will be taken from the court. On hearing this, the lawyer appearing for the Muslim side said, “Where did the digging come from?” The apex court also said that if the survey is done but the petition of Order 7 Rule 11 is dismissed, then the report of the survey will remain only a page of paper and will have no value.

‘But the UP CM gave a statement on this’

“It can also be done that the report of the survey should be kept in a sealed cover and opened only after the maintainability of the petition under Order 7 Rule 11 is fixed,” the apex court said. Order 7 Rule 11 will be heard by the court next week and notices have been issued in this regard. At the same time, the lawyer of the Muslim side, while arguing his argument, described a statement of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on this issue as unfortunate and said, “A very unfortunate incident happened three days ago. The matter is pending in the court but the UP Chief Minister gave a statement on it. It is a state in this matter and cannot take sides with any one. ‘

In the Gyanvapi campus ASI survey resumes

Earlier on Friday morning, the ASI’s survey started once again in the Gyanvapi campus. The purpose of this survey is to find out whether the mosque has been constructed on top of the already existing temple. The Gyanvapi mosque dates back to the 17th century and is located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Due to Friday prayers, the survey work was stopped from 12 noon to 2 pm. The survey work is likely to last for 5-6 days. Tight security arrangements have been made during the survey and a large police force has been deployed at the spot, a police official said.
