Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GNFC) reported a 30% decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹83 crore for the first quarter of FY26, primarily due to a dip in revenues from core business segments and the effects of an operational shutdown.
In comparison, the company had posted a net profit of ₹118 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year (April–June FY25). The latest figure also marks a sharp sequential fall from ₹211 crore reported in the January–March quarter of FY25.
GNFC, which also operates in the information and technology space, disclosed the results in its regulatory filing on Wednesday. The company attributed the decline to lower contributions from key segments and disruptions caused by a shutdown during the quarter.
