Festival of Raksha Bandhan: The governments of many states, including the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, have given special gifts to women on the occasion of this Raksha Bandhan. These include cheap cylinders, free travel, etc. Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has increased the amount given to women of the state under the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ to Rs 1,250 per month before Raksha Bandhan.
Earlier, the Haryana government had announced free bus service to the women of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. On this occasion, women of the state will be able to travel free of cost in Haryana Roadways buses. The CM has also issued orders to the top officials regarding this.
Children up to 15 years of age can also travel for free.
Women will be able to travel free in the state from 12:00 pm on August 29 to 12:00 pm on August 30. Haryana Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma said that along with women, children up to 15 years of age will also be able to travel free of cost.
Women to travel free for two days in UP
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a two-day free bus ride for women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. According to the order issued to the Transport Department, no fare will be charged from women across UP from 12 pm on August 30 to 12 pm on August 31.
Women get gifts in Uttarakhand
Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also given the gift of ‘Mukhyamantri Sashakt Behna Utsav Yojana’ to women groups. Under this, all women groups working in the state will be provided a market to sell their products.
