The company is motivating land owners and individuals to help set up a CNG station on dealer owned dealer operated (DODO) model. It will also give an opportunity to join the ‘Haccha Haridra Dakshina Kannada’ to provide clean fuel for for the transport sector, said A K Jana, CEO, GAIL Gas. The selection process will be as per guidelines developed by the company. After selection of the site, the plot owner applicant keen on setting up CNG station will enter into a long term agreement for 10 or more years on lease basis. The CNG equipment (compressor/cascade/dispenser, etc) should be installed and commissioned by GAIL Gas while adhering to all the statutory rules/guidelines related to fire and safety.
