There will be a lockdown in Delhi?
Delhi Police had already made it clear that there will be no lockdown in Delhi. Vehicular movement is being controlled in New Delhi district, but ambulances, locals and tourists living in the area will be allowed to travel with proper identity cards.
What is closed in NDMC area??
All schools and colleges, government and non-government offices, shops will remain closed in the New Delhi Municipal Corporation area.
Medical facilities will also remain closed.?
Medical facilities will remain open at all places. There is no restriction on it. Essential services like postal and medical services and pathological labs will be allowed to collect samples across Delhi.
Entry to India Gate and duty path area is prohibited?
Yes, there are VVIP movements here, so this area will be closed for common citizens. Police have urged people not to go to India Gate and duty path for walking, cycling or picnicking.
Delhi Metro to remain closed?
Delhi Metro will run smoothly, but some entry and exit gates of many stations will remain closed. The Supreme Court Metro station will remain closed from September 8-10.

AIGI Airport, Dhaula Kuan, South Campus, Khan Market, Janpath, Kailash Colony, Moolchand, Supreme Court (completely closed), Barakhamba Road, Ashram, IIT, Hauz Khas, Central Secretariat, Lok Kalyan Marg, ITO, Chandni Chowk etc.
According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), parking at Supreme Court, Patel Chowk and RK Ashram Marg metro stations will remain closed from 4 am on September 8 to noon of September 11.
What will be the traffic route??
Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S S Yadav told PTI that the entire area inside the Ring Road (Mahatma Gandhi Marg) has been made a regulated zone. This means that only residents, authorised vehicles, emergency vehicles and those travelling to the airport, Old Delhi and New Delhi railway stations will be allowed.
Around 16 roads will be treated as Controlled Area II by 2 pm on Sunday. These include W-Point, A-Point, DDU Marg, Vikas Marg (up to Noida Link Road-Pusta Road), Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Delhi Gate.
Inter-state buses coming from Ghazipur border will ply only up to ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, while buses coming from Apsara Border, Chilla Border, Badarpur Border, Tikei Border and Singhu Border will ply up to ISBT Kashmere Gate, ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, Ashram Chowk, Peeragarhi Chowk and Mukarba Chowk.

East-West Corridor:
From Sun Dial/DND Flyover – Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Moolchand Underpass – AIIMS Chowk – Ring Road – Dhaula Kuan – Ring Road – Brar Square – Narayana Flyover. From Yudhishthir Setu – Ring Road – Chandgi Ram Akhara – Mal Road – Azad Pur Chowk – Ring Road – Lala Jagat Narayan Marg.
