The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HDFC Capital Advisors Limited to promote innovation and support startups in the affordable housing and PropTech (Property Technology) sectors. This collaboration underscores DPIIT’s ongoing commitment to nurturing an inclusive, innovation-driven startup ecosystem in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat@2047.

At the heart of this partnership is the H@ART Programme (HDFC Affordable Real Estate and Technology Programme), launched by HDFC Capital. This initiative is designed to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support the growth of PropTech startups by fostering connections with developers, investors, academic institutions, and accelerators.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, emphasized the importance of industry-government collaboration to scale innovation and drive transformation in India’s evolving startup ecosystem.

Vipul Roongta, Managing Director and CEO of HDFC Capital Advisors Limited, highlighted HDFC Capital’s commitment to accelerating innovation in affordable housing and contributing meaningfully to India’s development goals.

The MoU was officially signed by Mohammad Isharar Ali, Director, DPIIT, and Vipul Roongta, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

This partnership represents a key step in strengthening public-private partnerships to build a resilient, self-sustaining, and future-ready innovation ecosystem in India.
