On the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan participated in Shramdaan under the Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi, as part of the ongoing Swacchotsav celebrations inspired by the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a Swachh Bharat.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Pradhan emphasized that cleanliness must be a daily practice, not confined to a single day. He urged everyone, especially students, to make cleanliness a habit and work collectively towards building a clean, healthy, and prosperous India for future generations.
Engaging with students, the Minister highlighted their pivotal role in Swachhta and Viksit Bharat, stressing the importance of discipline, social commitment, and self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta). He encouraged youth to dedicate at least one hour every week to cleanliness drives, adopt Swadeshi products, and be Vocal for Local to support India’s growth story.
The event was attended by Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary, DoHE, Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice-Chancellor, University of Delhi, senior officials of the Ministry, and Prof. Gyantosh Kr. Jha, Principal, ARSD College, along with faculty members.
