Oil companies raised the rate of cooking gas by Rs 25 per cylinder on Wednesday, marking a cumulative increase of Rs 265 since November 2020. In Delhi, a cooking gas cylinder will now cost Rs 859.50. The subsidy has not been available to most cooking gas consumers for the past year. Some consumers in rural and distant locations, however, get a small subsidy to offset higher freight costs.
