CM Yogi is going to give another gift to PM Modi’s Kashi. Banaras is going to get another medical college soon. For this, the district administration has identified land in the mental hospital premises in Pandeypur. The DPR is being prepared. This will be the first medical college in the district by the state government. With this, the pressure on BHU’s Sir Sunderlal Hospital will be reduced. Patients will be very comfortable in treatment.

At present, there is only one medical college in the district on the BHU campus. There is a huge pressure of patients from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh along with surrounding districts including Banaras. In view of this, the state government has decided to open a new medical college in the district.

DM saw the land 10 days ago

DM S Rajalingam had visited the mental hospital about ten days ago to see the land of the proposed medical college. There, apart from the premises, the vacant land was measured by the lekhpal. There are 14.65 bighas of land inside the hospital premises and 9.45 bighas outside the boundary wall .

According to the standard, there should be medical college land within a distance of five km or 30 minutes around the district hospital. It will take five minutes to go from the district hospital to the mental hospital. Therefore, the administration has marked it for medical college.

Will be connected to the district hospital

There will be no separate hospital in the medical college. He will be linked to the district hospital. Academic facilities will be provided in the mental hospital and clinical facilities in the district hospital.

CMO Dr. Sandeep Chaudhary said that the final decision on the new college will be taken by the government and administration.

Beds will increase in district hospital

There are 250 beds approved in the district hospital. While 125 beds are operating. According to the guidelines of the National Medical Commission, the number of beds in a 100-seat medical college hospital should be 430 beds and in a 200-seat college, the number of beds should be 830. It is not yet decided how many seats the medical college will have. According to him, beds will increase in the district hospital. Along with this, facilities like microbiology lab, MRU lab, MRI, specialist doctor, trauma center etc. will also increase. This will bring great relief to the patients of Varunapar.
