A cloudburst Munsiari’s Balati area in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh town on Monday damaged Seraghat Hydro Power Project, raising fears of flood in the area. Reports said dam water had begun to enter houses nearby. However, no casualties have been reported so far. Two days of heavy rainfall last month in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri and Nainital districts had lead to flood in the area, affecting road traffic.
