Chandrayaan-3 will make a safe landing on the moon even if there is a glitch ISRO’s special preparation

Russia’s moon mission has failed with luna-25 crashing during landing on the moon, but India’s Chandrayaan-3 is moving towards the lunar surface every moment. Indian scientists are fully convinced that a safe landing on the moon is certain. Earlier, ISRO chief S Somnath has also claimed that Vikram Lander will remain safe landing on the moon. However, he described the last 15 minutes during the landing as very important. Now an aerospace scientist has also claimed that Chandrayaan-3 will make a safe landing on the moon in any case. He said that a lot of improvements have been made after the failure of Chandrayaan-2.

Professor Radhakant Padhi, an aerospace scientist at the Indian Institute of Science at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, said Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander has an inbuilt “rescue mode” that will help it land, even if everything goes wrong, “there is no doubt” that Vikram will land safely on the moon. He told that a lot of improvements have been made after the failure of Chandrayaan-2.

Scientists were very excited at the time of Chandrayaan-2

Radhakant Padhi has been involved in the launch of both Chandrayaan 2 and Chandrayaan-3. The Department of Aerospace of the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru is also contributing to the moon mission. He said scientists at the Indian space agency ISRO were “over-confident” about Chandrayaan-2 and the design philosophy of Chandrayaan-3 is that it should land safely on the moon even if everything goes wrong.

The reason for so much faith in Chandrayaan-3

Radhakant Padhi said that he is confident that the lander will be successful. “Chandrayaan-3 is designed for six “sigma limits”, so it is more robust. “The stress test of Chandrayaan-3 has been done, ISRO has taken care of all known and unknown causes. ”

Features of Vikram Lander

He explained that it is impossible to mimic lunar conditions on Earth, yet the Vikram lander can detect danger to the search for the best landing site. “The Vikram lander has two on-board computers, whereas, Chandrayaan-2 had only one,” he said, adding that he was “99.9%” confident that the Vikram lander would perform as expected.

New pictures of the moon

Some major craters have been identified in the latest pictures of the moon taken by Chandrayaan-3’s lander. The pictures were taken by a camera whose job was to help Vikram Lander find a safe landing area ahead of the historic touchdown over the unknown lunar south polar region on Wednesday evening.

Significantly, the lander is scheduled to touch the south polar region of the moon at 6:04 pm on August 23. With this success, India will become the fourth country to achieve this feat along with the US, Russia and China.
