Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has been accused of making controversial remarks on Sanatan Dharma. The demand for legal action against Stalin has started gaining momentum in various states. At the same time, Priyank Kharge, who made controversial statements supporting him, is also caught in a legal dilemma. Stalin had compared Sanatan with malaria, dengue and coronavirus and appealed to destroy it. A case has now been filed against Stalin in Uttar Pradesh against this statement.

An FIR has been lodged against Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur for their controversial remarks on Sanatan Dharma. Following the lawyers’ complaint, an FIR has been registered against the two leaders under sections 153A, 295A ofthe IPC. Earlier, a complaint was filed with the Delhi Police on behalf of Supreme Court lawyer Vineet Jindal against Udhayanidhi.
What is the whole case?
Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and a minister in the Tamil Nadu government, had described Sanatan Dharma as malaria, dengue and coronavirus. He had said that these things should not be opposed but they should be abolished. At the same time, Priyank Kharge had said that any religion that does not give equal rights or does not treat you like humans is like a disease.

Reacting to Stalin’s statement, the Congress had said that sarva dharma sambhav is the ideology of the Congress. However, he also said in the second line that all political parties have the right to speak. At the same time, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “Every religion has different feelings. At the core of India is unity in diversity. We should not get involved in any case that hurts a section of people. “
