In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Lucknow will host a two-day event, Yuva Kaushal Chaupal, on July 15–16, to celebrate World Youth Skills Day. The event is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Skill India – Super Power India vision and is being held under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The focus of the Chaupal is to honor and share the journeys of young individuals who have become self-reliant through skill training under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. Hundreds of trained youth will gather for the event, and 11 standout achievers will be featured as “Skill Youth Icons.” These inspiring individuals not only secured employment through their skills but also became entrepreneurs—creating jobs for others.
From starting beauty parlours and digital studios to launching mobile repair shops and café chains, these young achievers are living proof that skills can truly change lives. Minister of State Kapil Dev Agarwal emphasized that this initiative isn’t just a celebration—it’s a movement. Aimed at motivating youth across villages and cities, the Chaupal will showcase how skill development leads to empowerment and self-reliance.
Selected from thousands trained over the last three years, the 11 youth icons will share their stories on stage, encouraging others to follow the same path. They will be honoured not just as success stories, but as role models for the next generation. Yuva Kaushal Chaupal is more than a program—it’s a step towards building a skilled, confident, and self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
