Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat today accused the BJP government in Uttarakhand of presenting a “cut-copy-paste budget” by just renaming many schemes launched during its rule. He also described the budget as thoughtless, visionless and intentionless.Rawat said the BJP government shortly after assuming power had already taxed people on several counts whether it was through hiking electricity and water charges or though introduction of cess on various commodities. “It is a myth that this budget is taxless whereas the state government has already taxed the people of the state to the tune of Rs 1,300 crore before even presenting the budget”, he said.
