The government has decided to accord “Z” category security cover to BJP working president JP Nadda following a review undertaken by the security and intelligence agencies. The move is also indicative of Nadda’s enhanced political stature within the party. Now Nadda will be guarded by commandos of the CRPF round-the-clock, including his residence here, officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs said. The MHA took the decision while taking into consideration the increased threat perception to Nadda, they said, adding the new security architecture around him would be on all-India basis.
