The BJP national council, the largest body of the party, is expected to meet next month to mark the 100th birth anniversary of its ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on September 25. Party sources said the meeting was likely to be held between September 23-25 in the national capital.
Besides the top national and state-level leaders of the party, the council includes hundreds of members from across the country.The saffron party had launched a year-long programme last year, during its national council meeting in Kozhikode, Kerala, to mark Upadhyaya’s birth centenary. The last year’s BJP national council meet was also held between September 23-25.
