As part of the BJP’s nation-wide “Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra”, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would launch a Padayatra at the Gandhi Smruti Pitha at Telengapentha in Cuttack district on October 2 in order to make people aware about Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals.
Party vice-president Sameer Mohanty informed this at a Press meet here on Sunday. He said Pradhan would meet common people and address a public meeting on the occasion. Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken all efforts to spread Gandhi ideals across the globe, Mohanty said the “Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra” would be organised for 15 days to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi across the State. The Padayatra would be put on hold for a few days during the Dussehra celebrations and resume from October 11, he said.
