BJP Failed To Tackle Price Rise, GST, Says Congress

The state unit of the Congress today took out a Jan Chetna rally on two-wheelers to highlight the alleged failure of the state government in tackling price rise and the situation arising after the implementation of the GST.
Led by state party president Preetam Singh, party leaders and members took out the rally from the party headquarters on the Rajpur road. “The BJP has failed to fulfil promises made to the people of the state. No new jobs have been created. It has also failed to come to the rescue of businessmen who continue to face problems after the GST, ” said Preetam Singh.

Women members and youths from the frontal wings of the party also participated in the rally, which concluded on the GMS road. More than 3,000 persons participated in the rally.Heavy police force was deployed en route to assist the commuters. Traffic was diverted on several routes such as Tehsil Chowk, Doon Chowk, Darshan Lal Chowk, CMI Chowk and Survey Chowk. At least 46 barriers were set up.
