Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream project of Navya Ayodhya, a township near Ayodhya with world class facilities, has got approval from the state tourism department.
The township will host a “Nirvana Abode”, a place for those who are awaiting death and want to attain moksha or salvation. The township will be built on the lines of London and will host luxury hotels, riverside resorts, multistory buildings among other things, the report added. It will come up between old and new Faizabad-Gorakhpur highway and would target NRIs and foreigners who want to get close to Indian tradition. High-end hospitality projects are also on the anvil. The township is part of the chief minister’s efforts to scale up tourism and attract more foreign tourists to the religious city of Ayodhya.
