Paddy procurement of over 600 Lakh MT has been completed during Kharif Marketing Season 2023-24 (kharif crop). This has benefitted 75 Lakh farmers providing MSP outlay of more than Rs.1,30,000 crores. The procurement started in October 2023. With the current level of procurement of 600 MT of paddy, central pool holds more than 525 LMT of rice against the annual requirement of approx. 400 LMT under PMGKAY/ TPDS and other welfare schemes. FE The government may take a “fresh call” on extending the sunset date for the concessional 15% corporate tax for new manufacturing units beyond March 31, after the general election, Central Board of Direct Taxes Chairman Nitin Gupta told FE on Friday. “Anything can happen (on the concessional tax). FE Adani Enterprises (AEL), which has interests in new energy, transport and consumer businesses, has significantly expanded its capital expenditure (capex) to Rs 92,000 crore for FY25 as it prepares to be aggressive in its airport and green hydrogen businesses.
