(PTI) Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) is likely to acquire Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) in a share-swap deal to become India’s second-largest oil refiner. The merger is likely to take place after ONGC, the country’s biggest oil and gas explorer, completes acquisition of HPCL in an all-cash deal by December or January, officials in know of the development said. (TH) The price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi was hiked by Rs. 93 per cylinder on Tuesday evening. After the hike, a 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder will cost Rs. 742 per cylinder in Delhi. Correspondingly, the 19 kg commercial cylinder will now cost Rs. 1310.50 in the capital. The price of subsidised domestic LPG cylinders too was hiked by Rs. 4.56 per cylinder. The effective price of a 14 kg domestic cylinder in Delhi will now be Rs. 495.69. This rose from Rs. 491.13per cylinder.
