(PTI) Dense fog enveloped the national capital this morning, leading to cancellation of 13 north-bound trains. The mercury also dropped to 5.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average although it was yesterday recorded at 9.1 degrees Celsius. According to the Northern Railways, 13 trains had to be cancelled due to poor visibility while 21 trains are running late. The timing of four trains was rescheduled owing to bad weather. (ET) To deal with train delays during fog, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has deployed a new GPS-based system for auto warning to train drivers. An equipment called FogPASS (Fog Pilot Assistance system for Safety) consisting of an inbuilt battery and GPS antenna with magnetic base has been installed in all locomotives in NFR. (PTI) Mathura refinery has decided to go for innovation and revamp of its two units to meet the challenge of 100 per cent production of BS-VI grade fuel by 2020, a director said. “With the addition of third reactor in series to the existing two reactors and furnace, Prime G (gasoline de- sulphurization) unit of Mathura refinery is being revamped for ensuring BS-VI petrol with sulphur content 8ppm (wt),” Mathura Refinery’s Executive Director Larry Wright Khongwir told reporters yesterday.
