The index of mineral production of mining and quarrying sector for the month of March (new Series 2011-12=100) 2017 at 127.2, was 9.7% higher as compared to the level in the month of March 2016. The water storage available in 91 major reservoirs of the country for the week ending on May 18, 2017 was 35.622BCM, which is 23% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs.
