(PTI) The Centre in association with the National Legal Service Authority (NALSA) today launched ‘Tele-Law’ scheme in Bihar with an aim to provide an opportunity to the common man to access legal aid easily. Under the scheme, villagers can have access to legal consultation with the help of para legal volunteers at Common Service Centre (CSC) which will be equipped with computers and Internet facility. The water storage available in 91 major reservoirs of the country for the week ending on August 03, 2017 was 67.683 BCM which is 43% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs. This percentage was at 39 for the week ending on July 27, 2017. The level of August 03, 2017 was 104% of the storage of corresponding period of last year and 97% of storage of average of last ten years. (FE) Indian gold demand jumped 37% in volume term in the April-June quarter from a year earlier despite a 10% fall globally, thanks mainly to a favourable base, showed the World Gold Council (WGC). Fears of a high goods and services tax (GST) rate on gold also spurred consumers and traders to advance their purchases ahead of the GST roll-out, supporting demand during the June quarter.
