The water storage available in 91 major reservoirs of the country for the week ending on September 28, 2017 was 103.429 BCM which is 66% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs. This percentage was at 61%for the week ending on September 21, 2017. The level of water storage in the week ending on September 28, 2017 was 89% of the storage of corresponding period of last year and 87% of storage of average of last ten years. Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has sanctioned a term loan of Rs.4009 crore to TSGENCO for setting up 5X800 MW, Coal Based Yadadri TPP using super-critical technology in Nalgonda district of Telangana. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) named Shanker, who is currently Director (Technical and Field Services) at ONGC, as CMD till his superannuation, as against an initial one-year term proposed by the Oil Ministry.
