Adani Group is tipped to invest Rs 750 crore to double the capacity of its edible oil refinery at Haldia in West Bengal. This was announced by Pranav Adani, managing director of Adani Wilmar on the second day of the 4th Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in the city. He also expressed interest the group’s keenness to invest in port, agri and power sectors, given the chance to do so.
While the refinery capacity is 1600 tonne per day at present, the fresh investment to double its capacity will be spread over five years. In step the capacity of the packaging unit would also be expanded from 1200 tonne to 1800 tonne at the refinery.
