HPCL successfully rolled-out daily price revision mechanism for the Petrol & Diesel across the country with active involvement & support of dealers of over 14,000 Petrol Pumps. HPCL has set-up 24X7 Help-Desks at all its 62 Regional Offices as also at all the Zonal Offices across the country to ensure Seamless Operations and to offer Quick Redressal of Queries with respect to implementation of Daily Price Revision to its Customers and Dealer Network. HPCL is also conducting regular Awareness and Training Sessions with Dealers & Dealermen, across the Country.
As we know Daily Price Revision in prices of Petrol and Diesel prices has been effected from 16th June, 2017 across the country, which will be in in sync with international rates, much like it happens in most advanced markets. With this India joined the league of select nations like the US & Australia where fuel prices are revised on a daily basis.
Daily price change will remove the big leaps in rates, being more aligned to market dynamics and in the process Customer will be benefited. Daily revision of RSPs nationwide comes after the mechanism was successfully implemented on a pilot basis in 5 cities in the Country namely Udaipur, Jamshedpur, Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh and Puducherry from May 1, 2017.
Oil Marketing PSUs were earlier revising rates on the 1st & 16th of every month based on average international price of fuel in the preceding fortnight and currency exchange rate.
HPCL effected the following price changes at its Petrol Pumps in Delhi with corresponding decrease in the rest of the country for 16th June 2017, the first day of daily price revision introduced to the entire country –
-Decrease in Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 1.60/litre (inclusive of VAT)
-Decrease in Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 1.50/litre (inclusive of VAT)
The new prices announced on a daily basis shall be applicable from 6 AM to 6 AM the next day.
“Daily Price Revision is one of the most important Customer Centric Initiatives which has been implemented that will lead to improved Stock Management and speed up the process of ongoing Automation of the network. The Petrol & Diesel price will now be more Open & Transparent, Competitive & Reflective of market conditions”, informs HPCL top Officials.
Prior to start of Daily Price Revision wef 16th June’17; HPCL C&MD Sh. Mukesh Kumar Surana alongwith Director-Marketing Sh. S Jeyakrishnan and Team Retail had interacted with Dealers across the Country thru Video Conference on the issues concerning implementation of daily price change mechanism so as to ensure smooth rollout.
