A team of HPCL led by deputy general manager Razee K Mathew visited Pachpadra under Balotra sub-division in Barmer for inspection on Wednesday. The team also took information about water, road and other facilities in the area. Sub-divisional officer Prbhati Lal Jath along with other officials from water and revenue departments was also present.Earlier, chief minister Vasundhara Raje had announced to set up a refinery in the area but it remained only on papers leaving the locals disappointed.
People even hesitate to discuss about the refinery as the previous government did nothing after laying foundation stone.The team spoke to local officials and people. According to information, the team came to survey conditions of water pipeline. It is to be mentioned that refinery at Barmer has become a matter of prestige for public representatives and local leaders as BJP government had alleged that Congress’ decision of setting up refinery was not in favour of the government as well as people.
