As many as 5,061 newly trained constables will formally join the Haryana Police on Wednesday after successfully completing their basic training. Their passing-out parade will be held at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula Sector 3.

The grand ceremony is being organised under the aegis of the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, and will witness the recruits displaying parade drills, discipline, and professional excellence. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest at the event and take the salute at the parade, lending national importance to the occasion. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with senior police and administrative officers and other dignitaries, will also be present.

A traffic rehearsal and thorough inspection of the entire route of the home minister and other dignitaries was conducted by the police force across Chandigarh and Panchkula on Tuesday. “The recruits have undergone an intensive and multi-dimensional training programme conducted at Madhuban, PTC (Police Training Centre) Sunaria, RTC (Recruit Training Centre) Bhondsi, Ambala, and Naval Training Centres from December 16, 2024, to September 22, 2025. The training focused on physical fitness, legal awareness, weapon handling, field tactics, disaster management, human rights and effective public interaction, preparing the constables for modern and citizen-oriented policing,” A S Chawla, Director of the Haryana Police Academy, was quoted as saying in a press statement.
