Monsoon continues to wreak havoc, red alert in many districts of these states; Four deaths in Karnataka

From North India to South India, monsoon is showing its havoc everywhere. Due to heavy rains, life has become difficult for people in central and west India. At the same time, many districts of South India were also flooded. A red alert has been issued to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala by the Meteorological Department. Many districts of these three states are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. The government has declared a two-day holiday for all schools in Telangana keeping in view the monsoon forecast and monsoon situation in the state. After two days, further decision will be taken considering the movement of monsoon.

The southern states have been receiving heavy rains for the past few days. Low-lying areas are under water. Rivers and ponds are full of water. If the rain does not stop, there is no possibility of water receding. Normal life has been disrupted. In Karnataka alone, four people died due to rains on Tuesday, the administration said. The total number of deaths in Karnataka from June 1 to July 24 has gone up to 27.

Two teenage girls were washed away in rain in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. They were crossing a small river in Mahabubnagar district, police said. The pull of the current could not be gauged and both were swept away in the water.

In Hyderabad too, normal life has been disrupted due to continuous rains. To avoid traffic jams on roads, IT companies have been requested by the police to change their office timings. It said that companies should give leave to employees in a phased manner. Giving a holiday together will leave many people out of the office and will have problems controlling traffic on waterlogged roads.

In Karnataka, the Meteorological Department has advised coastal residents to avoid low-lying areas. Apart from this, going to old dilapidated houses has also been banned. Accidents can happen anytime due to the collapse of old clean houses due to rain.
