Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah will have a hectic political schedule in 2018 leading up to 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already started ground work for the the 2019 general elections in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh. Starting with the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Uttar Pradesh has been a key state for BJP. In 2014, 73 seats from Uttar Pradesh played a pivotal role in forming the “Modi Sarkar”. Last year, BJP proved that it is the dominating force in the state by 325 Assembly seats. It has been learnt that Adityanath has met and held talks with MPs and MLAs from BJP and ally Apna Dal from 28 Lok Sabha constituencies across the state. Organisers in BJP want to complete meetings on the 52 other Lok Sabha seats by the end of this month, according to Indian Express report.
So far, CM Adityanath has met legislators and lawmakers Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Badaun, Sultanpur, Pilibhit, Phulpur, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Rae Bareli, Ballia, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Mishrikh, Kaushambi, Ambedkar Nagar, Robertsganj, Hamirpur, Banda, Pratapgarh, Kaiserganj, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Jalaun, Gonda, Hardoi, Salempur and Domariaganj. Notably, 19 out of those have BJP MPs.
